Touchline is a season journal for NCAA Division II men's soccer, following the Great American Conference, Lone Star Conference, Gulf South Conference, Great Lakes Valley Conference, Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, Sunshine State Conference, Northeast-10 Conference, Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, East Coast Conference, Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, Mountain East Conference, Great Midwest Athletic Conference, Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, South Atlantic Conference, Conference Carolinas, Peach Belt Conference, California Collegiate Athletic Association, Pacific West Conference and Great Northwest Athletic Conference. It is independent and unofficial: it has no connection to any conference, programme or governing body. Everything on it comes from the programmes' own published pages — and what they did not publish is shown as what it is.
WHAT THE WORDS MEAN
A match marked final whose score was published. Touchline counts nothing it cannot show.
A match a programme's site marked finished without ever publishing a score. The silence is the site's own; it stays on the record, named, and every collect asks again.
A match whose result Touchline holds but whose detail — the box score behind it — the collector could not reach. Never a friendly, never a score gap: a box score gap is the one absence nothing else on the page names.
A match between programmes in two of the conferences Touchline follows belongs to both. It appears in each conference's own accounting, and the division counts it once — so adding the conference figures together gives a larger number than the division's, and neither of them is wrong. When only one of the two programmes has posted the score, Touchline takes it and says so: a final on one side only, named on the match page and in each conference's accounting until the other page catches up.
A match played outside the record everywhere: no wins, no goals, no counts. Named where it appears, counted nowhere. The 2026 collection is the first to mark them, so on earlier seasons Touchline cannot tell a friendly from a match that counted — and does not guess which was which.
A match between two members of the same conference that counts toward its table. Wherever one appears — on the season line, in the week's docket, on the matches page — it wears the site's purple, which means nothing else.
A date that has passed while the programme's schedule still calls the match scheduled: no result, no postponement, no note. A different absence from a score gap, and counted apart from it.
Until the first conference result, the table ranks every match a member has played, against anyone, and says so. From that result on it is the conference table, with the record across all matches kept beneath each side.
A Monday-to-Sunday week with at least one match in it. The season line counts them, and the week's docket prints the same days.
WHAT IS CHECKED
Every figure on this site is recomputed from the published pages it came from before it is printed. A sentence that fails the recount is dropped, not softened, and every number in prose answers to a figure that was checked. Where a sentence carries figures, it opens onto them: the numbers it rests on, and the layer they were read from.
WHERE IT COMES FROM
A collector reads each programme's own schedule, roster, statistics and box score pages, once a day, and writes what it finds to a file. This site is built from those files and one hand-kept reference — each programme's nickname and city, the only facts here no collector produced. No estimates, no third-party feeds.
The home page's map draws the lower 48 states. Chaminade, Hawai'i Hilo and Hawai'i Pacific are off this map: their towns lie outside the frame it draws.
